The Area
We specialize in fixing up and renting out property in Old East Village.
This whole area is coming alive, with construction, renovation, and
community involvement. Stroll through the area and you'll see gardens, people on the porch, and dog-walkers.
The
Western Fair Grounds host the London Farmers' Market weekly, where
the best coffee EVER, the Fire Roasted Coffee Company's "Grand Bend Biker Blend", is roasted and sold.
The Aeolian Hall regularly features concerts, speakers, and community events.
The area is full of new and old galleries, businesses, and theater, like the Old East Village Coffee House, Old East Studios art gallery,
and some really great restaurants. The Palace Theatre is home to the London Community
Players.
The Philosophy
We try to provide cool, clean, reasonably priced apartments. We think people are better off in a house than a big concrete box.
We love the character
found in older homes and try to maintain as much of it as we can, restoring and reusing original materials.
We believe there's a reason people say
"They don't build 'em like that anymore". We also believe in modernization where it's warranted, adding space or value or flow to our buildings.
It's an ongoing process that balances preservation, improvement, and restoration. We believe in doing the work ourselves because it adds quality and detail, pride and character.
The People
We believe in our tenants, too. We work very hard to find great people that see the value in what we're up to. We want people that want
homes to call their own. We want people that can love their old home like we do. Without over-generalizing, our tenants seem to like having
approachable, accessible landlords that actively maintain and improve their properties but also know the value of staying the hell away and not buggin'.
We believe too many property owners miss out on the value of a strong relationship with the people renting from them.
